“Your brain is the organ of your personality, character, and intelligence and is heavily involved in making you who you are.” Daniel Amen said this. Learning about his work, helped me make a connection I have never made before. The health of our brain determines the quality and longevity of our lives.
Unhealthy brain = unhealthy life. Fact.
Take a minute to take this in, it may be the single most important bit of information you ever learn.
Most of my posts at Self Blisscipline focus on what I hope, helps to create healthier brains. I am talking about the energetic mind as well as the physical brain itself. Did you know that 1/3 of the nutrients we eat go directly to the brain? Did you know that negative thoughts actually affect how our brain functions in every moment? Did you know that being overweight has as much affect on damaging our brain as physical brain injuries? I did not know any of this until I saw Daniel Amen’s TED Talk.
In order to create a life we love, we need to start thinking about our brains and how our everyday actions affect its development. And…if you are concerned your brain may not be in the best shape, don’t fret. You can begin reversing the damage in as little as two months! There is no time like the present to start doing just that.
